Building off the same principals used in one-on-one therapy while treating in small groups in order to focus on higher levels of functional behavior. Social-emotional learning, shared attention, sharing/turn taking, emotional regulation, sensory processing and regulation, and motor planning are all goal areas of group therapy. Small Group therapy can be used in conjunction with one-on-one therapy or as a sole means of therapy based on client’s social and emotional abilities and play skills.

In additional to OT lead group sessions, we also offer opportunities for sensory-social groups that combine occupational therapy and social work to focus on the foundations of sensory processing social emotional development while engaging in playful sensory-motor and imaginative play activities.
